2025 Year in Review: A Look Back at This Year’s Client Education Events at William Joseph Capital Management, Inc.
At William Joseph Capital Management, Inc., our commitment to education is a foundational part of how we serve. Each year, we strive to deliver programming that brings clarity to complex financial topics and supports meaningful decision-making. As 2025 comes to a close, we are proud to reflect on the events, guest speakers, and learning opportunities we shared with clients, partners, and our broader community.
This year, we expanded our educational calendar significantly. Our lineup included market updates, estate planning conversations, tax discussions, healthcare awareness programs, and sessions designed to support individuals navigating major life transitions. Each event offered timely insights that helped attendees feel more informed as they approached their financial planning.
Below are several key themes that shaped our 2025 series.
Market & Economic Insights: Understanding Today’s Landscape
Market environments evolve quickly, and our Market Update series remained one of our most attended offerings. We were fortunate to welcome:
- Kezia Samuel, CFA, CAIA, Chief Market Strategist at AssetMark
- Joe Terranova, Senior Managing Director at Virtus
Their educational sessions explored broad economic themes and the major forces influencing today’s markets. While not offering predictions or recommendations, these conversations helped clients better understand the environment shaping financial decision-making.
Estate Planning & Preparing for Life’s Transitions
Estate and legacy planning remained a major focus throughout the year. In June,Elizabeth Nichols, Managing Director at CIBC Private Wealth, ledAging Wisely: Preparing for Life’s Changes, a discussion focused on planning ahead, communicating wishes, and adapting as responsibilities shift.
Later in the year, Elizabeth returned for our Women’s Leadership Series to discuss estate planning considerations at different life stages — from early-career planning to retirement and legacy goals. These sessions reinforced that estate planning is an ongoing process that evolves as life evolves.
Trusts, Probate & Foundational Legal Concepts
We also partnered with Members Trust Company forThe Ins and Outs of Trusts and How to Avoid Probate.
This session clarified common trust structures, explained the probate process, and provided attendees with a stronger foundation for future planning conversations. Many appreciated the clear, practical language used to explain these often-complex topics.
Health, Aging & Family Preparedness
Financial well-being is deeply connected to health and family needs. In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, we hosted10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s, which offered education on early detection, next steps, and available support resources.
This session resonated strongly with individuals caring for parents or loved ones, reinforcing our belief that financial planning must consider the full picture of a family’s needs.
Tax Awareness & Legislative Developments
Our midyear event,The New Big Beautiful Budget, focused on the 2025 federal budget and highlighted provisions affecting individuals and business owners. Led by our CPA partners, the session helped attendees understand the questions they may wish to explore further with their tax professionals.
Looking Ahead to 2026
While 2025 was one of our most robust educational years yet, we’re already preparing for an even stronger 2026. In our upcoming webinar, we’ll be focusing on clear calls to action that help you open opportunities, serve your clients more fully, and identify their interests.
If you have ideas — financial-planning or non-financial-planning — we would love to hear them. We look forward to continuing to deliver thoughtful, accessible programming that helps individuals feel informed and supported through life’s many transitions.
